CIVI EDU
▶Summary
Objectives Overall, the goal of this project is the joint development of new methods, tools and approaches in civic education and fostering European citizenship among young people in Europe, who show interest in current social and political issues, want to be actively engaged and make decisive and independent choices, but don’t know how. The project will revolve around the New Narrative for Europe Initiative and the 3-word base of EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027- Engage, Connect, Empower. Activities The project activities will be implemented during an 12-month period and will be carried out by the use of two main principles: learning by doing and innovative approaches. We will have one training course on the development of skills of youth workers, one intellectual outputs (a printable digital guide) and a final conference during which we will share the project and its results with wider audiences, stakeholders, decision-makers, media representatives and others. Impact The project is expected to encourage young people on active citizenship by giving them necessary knowledge and skills for improvement of their ability to participate in youth policy making, engage with the media on hot youth topics, know their basic civil rights, and thus to open their way through their local, national and international public lives. With the support of the intellectual outputs the participants will be taught how to apply the learned outcomes in everyday life situations.
