Objectives SAFER aims to: - improve the skills, knowledge base and level of civic engagement of youth workers on the topic of road safety and prevention of driving under the influence - empower and support the inclusion of physically impaired survivors of car accidents by training them as youth workers and influencers - raise the awareness and support the adoption of safer driving practices among the group of young drivers or learners, thus increasing their own level of responsibility and civic engagement. Activities Training programme on road safety, prevention of driving under the influence and campaigning development and testing via training of groups of youth workers and car accident survivors. Development of an OER version of the training programme. Pilot trainings delivered by the youth workers to young drivers/learners. Conducting of a broad campaign with videos, podcasts, workshops, simulations among young drivers/learners, based on personal stories and participation of car accident survivors. Impact A training programme on road safety, prevention of driving under the influence and successful campaigning, elaborated and available also as an OER in EN, BG, SLO and GR. An educational awareness raising campaign for young drivers/learners, young road offenders, based on stories coming from survivors of car accidents, using videos, podcasts, interviews, workshops and simulations.
