From youth to professionalism: Employability Skills in

Objectives InMus aims to offer career guidance and strengthen the employability skills of young musicians from marginalized communities in the professional field of music. Through the implementation of the project, participants will gain the necessary capacity that will enable them to have better access to employment opportunities in the music industry and contribute towards creating more social equity and equal opportunities in the music market. Activities 1) Training series to young musicians with fewer opportunities by professional musicians and experts on employment options, creating audio-visual content, marketing themselves and to develop financial literacy skills. 2) Job shadowing professional musicians in different settings. 3) Development of a guide for youth workers in the field of music to offer career guidance and job skills training in music. 4) Development of Video Tutorials for young musicians who seek to develop job skills in music. Impact Young musicians from marginalized communities in Cyprus and Portugal will gain professional development and competences that will strengthen their employability in the music industry. In addition, young musicians will acquire the basic skills to increase freelance job opportunities in the music sector. A new methodological guide and video tutorials will be developed and be freely available to young musicians who want to be educated in these competences in the future.
