The Brain waves project was based on the Service Learning methodology, where students working with robotics and Scratch developed robots or video games aimed at improving the lives of people with disabilities. The project promoted inclusivity, creativity, and digital literacy, while also contributing to the development of accessible technologies. Ultimately, it aimed to inspire a new generation of digital creators to use their skills for the benefit of society.
▶Activities
We produced two work packages: 1. Brain Waves Projects This involved the creation of didactic materials for teachers and students, which included: Knowledge about specific disabilities Understanding of individual needs Preparation of educational materials for designing the robot or game 2. Brain Waves in Action This focused on the development of digital materials aimed at supporting people with disabilities in addressing specific needs. The process included: Developing a prototype Programming the robot or game Testing and refining the project Delivering the final product Providing ongoing support
