Objectives

KNOW4FARM aimed to enhance the capacity of VET systems to respond to the evolving needs of the agricultural sector, particularly in the context of digitalisation, sustainability, and climate resilience, by introducing Precision Agriculture Technologies as practical, innovative solutions. Specifically, it aimed to: - Align agricultural VET with real-world sector needs, by integrating digital tools and applications that support sustainable and precision-based farming practices, - Build digital and theoretical competences and enhance practical skills of 45+ VET trainers through a Digital Handbook, Workshops - Field Visits & Interactive Webinars, - Address agri-tech skill shortages through foundational knowledge and hands-on training, - Support EU strategies (Green Deal, Farm to Fork, CAP) by promoting resource efficiency and climate-smart farming, - Foster transnational cooperation among organisations with complementary expertise, enabling the exchange of good practices & the creation of a lasting network for agricultural VET excellence, - Empower VET educators and municipalities to transfer knowledge, boost rural vitality, and act as multipliers of innovation & sustainability in agriculture locally and across Europe.

Activities

During KNOW4FARM, four activities were implemented. A1.Project Management and Implementation, led by SAH, ensured timely coordination, communication, and financial management through monthly online meetings and a shared Google Drive for monitoring tasks, timelines, and budget. A2.Creation of Digital Handbook, led by IGEA, led to the development of a multilingual, open-access resource on Precision Agriculture Technologies (PAT), covering crop, livestock, and EU green strategies. The Digital Handbook can be found on the project's website: https://know4farm.eu/workshops-field-visits/ A3.Interactive Webinar Sessions, led by SDSN, trained 70 VET educators on digital tools, smart farming, and sustainability. Sessions were based on handbook content and included knowledge tests and participant feedback. A4.Workshops - Field Visits, led by SAH, lasted 5 days & were held in Greece, offered hands-on PAT experiences to participants from Greece & Turkiye, such as smart irrigation, soil monitoring, and livestock automation, reinforced through knowledge test, evaluation, and certificates of attendance.

Impact

KNOW4FARM presents the following outputs and results: - A multilingual Digital Handbook on Precision Agriculture Technologies (PAT) in English, Greek, Turkish, and French, available online. It covers crop and livestock management and EU green strategies, with visual content, good practices, and video links. - One webinar per country, training 70 VET educators in total, on digital tools, smart farming, and sustainability. Each session was based on the handbook and included quizzes and feedback to assess learning outcomes. - 5-day Field Visits - Workshops in Greece, involving participants from Greece and Türkiye, offered hands-on experience with PAT applications such as smart irrigation, soil monitoring, and livestock automation. - Certificates of participation were issued, and the project produced articles and promotional materials. Results are being uploaded to the Erasmus+ Project Results Platform to ensure long-term visibility and use. - Articles and promotional materials (newsletters, press releases, flyer, brochure) were produced. Results were shared via the open-access website, social media (Facebook & LinkedIn) and are uploaded to EPALE and the Erasmus+ Project Results Platform.
