β–ΆObjectives

eSgEA objective is to support the shipping industry achieve a cross sectoral transition towards sustainability, and, more specifically, increase the ESG understanding and how it can help organisations meet their environmental, and people’s targets, facilitate transparency and trust within organisations, and, importantly, drive a mindset and cultural shift towards long-term results. Professionals across all levels and functions within the shipping industry will be engaged in project activities.

β–ΆActivities

-Diverse research activities engaging 100 professionals across all levels and functions from the industry to gain ESG insights -ESG training activities aiming to develop a flexible ESG training, tailored-suited to the industry and pilot tested (EL, ES, NO, DE) to 80 beneficiaries -Activities for launching the eSg bot, an AI software allowing shipping companies deal with sensitive matters (e.g employee welfare, whistleblowing, corruption incidents) reinforcing the social pillar (10 participants)

β–ΆImpact

-Mindset shift to more sustainable operations across all company levels within the shipping industry through training activities (incl. attitudinal training) -Development of an ESG dataset with up-to-date primary data that will enrich and customise the training -Simplification and objectification of complex ESG operations, such as reporting, monitoring, and strategy design, through the AI-based eSg bot -Increased number of shipping companies implementing ESG through dissemination actions
