The project sought to empower structurally marginalised migrant women to gain knowledge, confidence, and collective voice in defending their rights. Our objectives were: To create inclusive, creative educational methodologies enabling participation regardless of literacy, language, or legal status. To generate transnational solidarity through exchange of experiences between women in Spain, Poland, and Greece, linking local struggles to European contexts. To co-develop tools and resources (digital platform, blogs, films, manifestos) that ensure sustainability and wider transferability. To influence policy and raise awareness by amplifying migrant women’s voices in public and institutional arenas. To strengthen partner organisations with new skills, practices, and networks, ensuring long-term impact.

We implemented a series of interconnected activities across three countries. Partners facilitated creative workshops where migrant women explored labour rights and personal experiences through storytelling, visual arts, theatre, and performance. Training and exchange sessions supported staff and activists to adapt inclusive adult education practices. Participatory evaluation methods were developed and tested, involving over 100 migrant women in shaping assessment processes. Key dissemination included the ASAD Film Festival in Spain (300+ audience), national actions in Poland (delivery of manifesto demands to the Ministry of Labour with 50+ witnesses), and local public events in Greece. Throughout, we co-created blogs, podcasts, videos, and articles, later consolidated into a digital platform. Regular online partner meetings ensured coherence, while cross-country visits strengthened collaboration, peer learning, and collective ownership.

The project produced both concrete outputs and wider systemic results. Outputs included: 1 digital platform, 12 blogs, 6 videos, 4 podcasts, 2 academic/press articles, 8 workshops, 1 arts performance, 4 political advocacy meetings, and a European migrant women’s manifesto. Over 100 migrant women engaged in participatory evaluation, generating 5 key lessons now informing partners’ ongoing work. Dissemination reached broad audiences: 8 grassroots migrant-led associations across Europe have used the Art of Moving Forward platform, the ASAD Film Festival in Spain (300+ participants), public advocacy action in Poland (50+ stakeholders), and community events in Greece. Beyond outputs, results included increased confidence and collective agency among migrant women, strengthened partnerships between NGOs, unions, and grassroots groups like Plataforma Cero, and the establishment of innovative arts-based adult education methodologies transferable to other contexts. The platform ensures sustainability, acting as a living resource for migrant women, educators, and organisations across Europe.
