FLASH-RET aimed to enhance learning outcomes, improve student learning and retention by providing teachers with evidence-based strategies to implement retrieval practice using flashcards enhancing their ability to implement them. Our objectives were: - INCREASING TEACHER EFFECTIVENESS: Equipping teachers with resources, and training them in the effective use of retrieval practice with flashcards to enhance classroom instruction and ensure that teaching leads to better learning outcomes. - PROMOTE STUDENTS AUTONOMOUS LEARNING: The training of teachers in the use of flashcards provided students the knowledge to use flashcards effectively, promoting autonomous learning and long-term retention. - DEVELOPMENT OF HIGH-QUALITY EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES: Creating a handbook, teacher training materials, and ready-to-use flashcards examples to facilitate the adoption of retrieval practice strategies, such as flashcards, in different subjects and age groups. - DISSEMINATION THE PROJECT RESULTS: Sharing results via Erasmus+ platforms, events, and digital resources to ensure long-term impact beyond the immediate participating organisations.

During the 16-month duration of FLASH-RET, we successfully implemented all planned activities, achieving high participant satisfaction. - DEVELOPMENT OF A HANDBOOK: We created a evidence-based handbook to guide teachers in using retrieval practice with flashcards, including pedagogical guidelines, instructional videos and examples. The handbook was refined after initial feedback and translated into English, Spanish, Polish, and Romanian. - TEACHER TRAINING SESSIONS: We trained 38 teachers (11 from Romania and 27 from Poland) through sessions combining theory, practice and collaborative exercises to effective classroom implementation. - PILOTS WITH TEACHERS: Trained teachers tested the strategies in real classroom settings with students. We collected valuable feedback through questionnaires, interviews, and focus groups, which helped refine the materials. - MATERIALS DEVELOPMENT: We created high-quality sets of flashcards examples, adapted for different subjects, age groups and students with SEN. - DISSEMINATION, COMMUNICATION AND EVENTS: We actively shared project results through Erasmus+ platforms, partners’ websites, social media and educational events to ensure sustainability, long-term impact and accessibility.

As expected, FLASH-RET achieved significant outputs and broader educational impacts, contributing to the effective use of retrieval practice with flashcards in school education. - HANDBOOK: An evidence-based guide for teachers, including pedagogical strategies, instructional videos, and practical examples. It was translated into English, Spanish, Polish, and Romanian, ensuring accessibility. - TEACHER TRAINING SESSIONS: 38 teachers were trained in applying retrieval practice techniques, specifically flashcards, increasing their confidence and effectiveness in the classroom. - PILOTS WITH TEACHERS: Teachers tested flashcards strategies in real classroom settings, involving students in retrieval practice. Their feedback helped refine the methodology, ensuring its practicality. - FLASHCARD MATERIALS: We developed templates and subject-specific flashcards, adapted for different age groups and students with learning difficulties, making retrieval practice more inclusive. - DISSEMINATION, COMMUNICATIONS AND EVENTS ACTIVITIES: Results were shared widely via Erasmus+ platforms, events, websites and social media. We published a total of 5 articles on each partner' website with their respective 7 social network posts.
