Objectives

CIRCULARVET project intends to update VET curricula on the competencies linked to the transition from a linear to a circular business model in the mechanical sector. VET teachers and graduates will acquire the new circular skills needed to adapt their professional profile, developing curricula consistent with these needs and reducing the skills mismatch mechanical companies are facing. The project adopts an interdisciplinary approach, promoting collaboration between VET schools and companies.

Activities

Impact

The identification of the new circular skills in the mechanic sector declined in different business functions and the creation of a database of circular economy best applications in the mechanic sector; the realisation of a training programme targeted to VET schools on circularity issues piloted during the project; the simulation of a real working situation for the calculation of the Carbon Footprint through the ZeroCarbon educational tool; the definition of a certification of skills acquired.
