▶Objectives
The project’s goal is to bring structural changes in early childhood education and care. CREATECH enriches the transversal competences of the pedagogical staff in kindergartens and provides children with chances of creative expression, participation and social learning. The project draws from cultural heritage education and addresses one of the most urgent and important areas in ECEC today; the reasonable and meaningful use of technology in teaching and learning transversal competencies.
▶Activities
CREATECH supports high-quality training of teachers with hands-on pedagogical development projects in kindergartens. Teachers from altogether 8 kindergartens from 4 countries take part in transnational and national training and carry out phenomena-based cultural heritage & transmedia projects. Online 360 Exhibition presents the results of the children's creative works. The exhibition, CREATECH Guidebook, publications and dissemination activities make the project and its results widely known.
▶Impact
The project results include the development of skills, key competences and networks of partners, children and ECEC professionals. Concrete results include several training events, 8 high-quality pedagogical development projects in 4 countries, conceptual model of and recommendations for transmedia heritage education for ECEC, a tangible Guidebook with lesson plans in 5 languages, 360 Online Exhibition on the creative works of children as well as local and national dissemination events.
