Objectives

Strengthen transnational cooperation between partner schools by promoting the exchange of methods, skills, and best practices in the aeronautical field. Develop the technical skills of students and teachers, particularly in the fabrication, assembly, and maintenance of aircraft components, while using technical English as the professional language of communication. Enhance the attractiveness and quality of vocational training by providing students with the opportunity to work on a concrete and rewarding project, and by demonstrating the role of European collaboration in skills development. Ensure effective coordination and task allocation among partners to guarantee the successful execution of fabrication, assembly, and testing activities on the Morava L200 aircraft. Produce concrete and lasting results, such as the fabrication, assembly, and complete documentation (plans and assembly manuals), which can serve as educational and technical references for future students. Promote the project and the skills developed through communication events involving local partners and industry professionals.

Activities

Within the framework of this project, several activities were implemented to promote European cooperation and the development of technical skills among students and teachers. Transnational meetings, notably in Zagreb, allowed the clarification of the host school’s needs and the allocation of tasks among partners, while ensuring follow-up and coordination through digital exchanges. The mobilities to Seville, Colomiers, and Zagreb enabled students to work hands-on on the fabrication, assembly, and maintenance of the Morava L200 aircraft components, validate technical solutions, and document processes. Each school contributed according to its expertise: Colomiers for structural elements, Seville for control wheels and mechanical components, and Zagreb for the final assembly and painting. Students were assessed using a competency grid, earning a bonus for their exam. Finally, a final event in Zagreb allowed the presentation of the achievements, demonstrated the functioning of the aircraft’s flight control system, and highlighted the collaborative work to partners and the public.

Impact

The concrete achievements of this project include the fabrication, assembly, and maintenance of parts for the Morava L200 aircraft by students from the three partner schools. Colomiers produced the structural elements, Seville manufactured the control wheels and mechanical components, and Zagreb handled the final assembly, adjustments, and painting. Students also prepared plans, assembly manuals, and technical procedures, ensuring the reproducibility and sustainability of the skills acquired. The mobilities allowed for the validation of technical solutions, experimentation with assembly and maintenance methods, and the strengthening of cooperation between partners. Among the other results, students developed their technical English skills, facilitating professional communication and documentation. They were assessed using a competency grid, earning a bonus for their exam. The final event in Zagreb provided an opportunity to present the achievements, demonstrate the functioning of the aircraft’s flight control system, and showcase the skills and collaborative work to partners, professionals, and the public.
