▶Objectives
The project aims to develop a sustainability self-assessment questionnaire. This will help agricultural farmers to assess the extent to which their own farm complies with sustainability principles. It will also help farmers to develop sustainability improvement strategies for their farm. Some of the project's activities (personal interviews, professional conferences, the questionnaire) will also identify further development needs. It can thus be a starting point for further projects.
▶Activities
A sustainability self-assessment questionnaire is prepared with the assistance of experts. This will be underpinned by conferences and face-to-face interviews with farmers and other actors serving farmers. Professional information materials will be produced and the results of the project will be widely disseminated. As part of the project, additional training needs for practising farmers will be identified. Based on this, further projects may be developed.
▶Impact
By using the self-learning tool that will be created as a result of the project, farmers will have a more accurate picture of the state of their farm. They will be able to identify improvement needs. They will be better informed about sustainability principles and objectives. Decision-makers and the wider public will be better informed about farmers' responsibilities and tasks in relation to sustainability. Further Erasmus+ proposals could be prepared to address the identified development needs.
