The project aimed to promote the spread of sustainable horticultural thinking among groups with limited access to up-to-date agricultural knowledge. The target groups included beginner gardeners, small-scale producers farming on less than 10 hectares, as well as students and teachers in agricultural vocational education. The goal was to provide these groups with reliable, practical, and understandable information about sustainable farming, enabling them to make environmentally conscious decisions in the long term. Another key objective was to develop methodological approaches that, through international cooperation, improve educational quality and strengthen the partners’ institutional capacity. The goals were defined to align with the Erasmus+ priorities supporting the green transition and innovation in vocational training, while also adapting to local conditions.

During the project, the partners worked closely together in planning, implementation, and monitoring. Regular project management activities, including coordination, communication, and quality assurance, ensured coherent execution. The professional work began with a situation analysis and target group assessment, identifying the state of organic farming and related needs in both countries. Based on these findings, the structure of the learning content was developed, followed by the creation of the digital platform and content. The partners jointly designed an online course and a gamified learning tool, both demonstrating sustainable horticultural methods through practical examples. These tools were tested with the target groups, and the feedback was used for fine-tuning. In the final phase, wide-ranging dissemination was carried out.

As a result of the project, a bilingual online learning platform was created, offering a modular course on the basics of sustainable horticulture. A gamified tool was also developed to support learning and awareness-raising in an interactive way. In addition, an information booklet was produced featuring a collection of good practices, offering hands-on guidance for beginner gardeners. All materials were made publicly available via the project’s website. These resources were already used during the pilot phase, and several agricultural vocational institutions expressed interest in integrating them into their teaching. The project also strengthened professional cooperation between the partner organisations and enhanced the international visibility of the participating institutions. Thanks to effective dissemination, the results reached a wide audience, and the project is expected to have a lasting impact beyond its duration.
