Objectives

Boost readiness, resilience and competences of academics by providing knowledge/tools to address ethical issues and risks that arise from the Digital Economy and digitalization. Empower lecturers and students to become better-informed citizens on knowledge of technology, be aware of the ethical issues raised by technology usage, and reward excellence in learning, teaching and skills development. The promotion of interconnected higher education systems and synergies between tech and humanities.

Activities

Review of existing business & tech-oriented curricula to identify the current state of content related to social and sustainability principles and topics. Needs assessment survey targeting higher education institutions. Reflection focus groups between academic institutions, policy makers, and industry experts. Delivery of analysis report. Design and development of a training toolkit, teacher's notes, online platform, training material of lecturers. Dissemination, website, multiplier events.

Impact

We aim to: Have 300 pilot participants to finetune content & delivery. Reach 100 educators and students, 50% of the educators certified. Have 75% of the educators pursue certification after multipliers. Have at least 10-20 mentors on the forum. Reach an audience of around 100,000. Engage with 100 participants, (including social groups at risk, with gender balance). A boost in digital literacy and increase in societal awareness and response to critical challenges.
