βΆObjectives
We aimed to achieve several key objectives: Developing teachers' skills through innovative teaching strategies - We aimed to support teachers in overcoming traditional methods of teaching foreign languages, by integrating language learning into the teaching of content subjects, so that the educational process becomes more meaningful and dynamic. Improving students' language skills through real-life contexts - My goal was for students to acquire language skills not only within foreign language classes, but also while learning subjects such as science, mathematics or history, thus developing vocabulary, comprehension and fluency in a natural and engaging way. Increasing student motivation and active involvement β ββBy applying CLIL strategies, we wanted to make lessons more interactive and relevant, which would lead to increased student interest and greater willingness to use the target language in real-world contexts. Promoting multilingual and multicultural competences β We aimed to support the European Unionβs vision of promoting bilingualism and multilingualism by integrating the use of foreign languages ββin all curricular areas. Creating a collaborative learning environment Developing a model of good practice
βΆActivities
Our project was built around six LTTA: two virtual mobilities and four international mobilities, all involving both teachers and students. The activities were designed to facilitate the implementation of the CLIL technique, to promote intercultural learning and to improve the language skills of primary school students. The activities implemented were: 1. CLIL Technique Training Seminar for Teachers-This seminar focused on providing theoretical and practical training to teachers in the application of the CLIL method, supported by the partner institution in Turkey, with experience in using this method in its curriculum. 2. Learn a Second Language with Visual Arts Lesson-This LTTA activity combined language learning with artistic education, offering students a creative and engaging way to acquire English vocabulary through practical activities and visual expression. 3. I Know Nature, I'm Improving My English- This mobility focused on outdoor learning and environmental topics, integrating English teaching with scientific content, using CLIL strategies. 4. I Improve My English Through Mathematics- The goal was to integrate basic mathematical concepts with English language learning, allowing students to use mathematical vocabulary.
