▶Objectives
AiRobo aims to increase the quality and the atractivity of related departments at the partner universities, by a significant raise of the level of competence and skills of the relevant academic staff in the field of Artificial Intelligence based Robotics; and to address the European priority in national context, namely Inclusion in Higher Education: social inclusion, improving the outreach to people with fewer opportunities, including people with disabilities and people with migrant background.
▶Activities
AiRobo will implement the activities: elaboration of a comprehensive book on AI based robotics, robotic applications in various fields of high interest to the industry, for the use of both academic staff and students; trainings for academic staff of the partners, on the topic of AI based robotics and pedagogical methods for teaching it; large dissemination of the project results through website, an international summer school, conference, and scientific publications at international conferences.
▶Impact
The results of AiRobo consist in: 25 academic staff from partner universities trained in teaching AI based robotic courses, a comprehensive set of teaching support materials: the AiRobo book, 7 robotic applications in different fields (3 of them are addressed to people with disabilities and migrant background), tools and video tutorials; as well as 3 scientific publications at international conferences. AiRobo will have a significant worldwide impact as the results will be largely disseminated.
