▶Objectives
The iCare project brings together 3 EU partner organizations to joint efforts in building inclusive and resilient caring communities where professionals, patients and citizens collaborate to create social connections meant to improve general health and welbeing. The project focuses on increasing knowledge and competences in palliative care of socio-medical field practitioners and informal care givers and on strengthening partners’ capaity to implement blended VET programs in palliative care.
▶Activities
Activities are divided on four Work Packages: WP1 – Project management WP2 – ToT international palliative blended training WP3 – National training and educational interventions in palliative care WP4 – Dissemination and exploitations of results Implementation of the proposed activities within each work package will conduct to introducing (Romania) and reaffirming (Austria and Portugal) a new model of looking at palliative care and at health systems: integrated caring communities.
▶Impact
Main expected results are: 20 socio-medical field practitioners are trained in an international ToT program on palliative care and benefit of other support services (supervision/coaching, group mentoring, online community meetings) 90 informal and professional care givers benefit of training and caring communities support, with direct contribution brought by the ToT practitioners 3 dissemination events organized in the partner countries
