Heritage Train II will meet the identified training needs in Slovakia, Czech Republic and Austria by introducing a new international, innovative and flexible professional training in the field of built heritage preservation, that will be open to all stakeholders active in this field and that will enable international mobility of experts/trainers as well as participants. This project develops further the results of Heritage Train (I) project that was conducted by the same Partnership.

(1) Compiling the poll of experts/trainers and the group of 11 guarantors (60 in total). (2) Elaboration of all learning parts (230 hours); Virtual Library (webpage) of 500 pages of training materials. (3) Piloting chosen modules in SK, CZ, AT – 58 days, 232 participants. (4) Evaluation of the pilots via feedback forms and evaluation reports of 4 independent experts. (5) Activities for sustainability (multiplier events for 150 participants; 10 new associated partners, reach-out 20 000 people).

The new training provides opportunity for capacity building of various target groups in an interdisciplinary group of mixed professions. The cooperation establishes a new ecosystem of VET providers – multisectoral international platform (university, VET providers, heritage authorities) that is open to new partners. In the long-term the project helps to preserve the common EU values – European cultural heritage – by enhancing the quality of training in the field of heritage preservation.
