▶Objectives
This project aims to transfer the know-how of construction professionals to civil engineering students and inexperienced new civil engineering graduates through online learning. The project proposes a comprehensive online training model. Through this training, civil engineering students and new civil engineering graduates will develop their vocational competencies according to the needs of the construction industry. In this way, their employment opportunities will be greatly improved.
▶Activities
Experienced managers and engineers will share their know-how during the live interactive courses. Besides technical courses, social courses such as economics and law will also be included in the training to increase economic, social, and legal knowledge of the target group. A 10-month training period is planned during the project phase. Professionals' know-how will be coded, converted to explicit knowledge, and available in the know-how database.
▶Impact
This project provides the opportunity for civil engineering students and engineers all around Europe to access the training contents and improve their vocational competencies. A know-how database will be created at the end of the project. This database will be available and updated regularly on the project web page and accessible to everyone. This project would be an example model of building bridges between vocational education and employment in the European construction industry.
