Objectives

Based on a participatory development approach that incorporates the experience and expertise of practitioners and learners in adult basic education, a framework for assessing and validating learning outcomes at the cognitive, personal, and social levels is developed. The criteria and indicators include summative, formative, and transformative dimensions, allowing for a comprehensive and in-depth impact assessment of learning in adult basic education.

Activities

In each of the three adult education centers (Volkshochschulen), a participatory development group will be formed, consisting of experienced practitioners and learners. These groups create the content for the framework with regard to good examples of existing learning progress documentation and they collect/elaborate examples of transformative effects. On this basis, the PROFUND assessment framework and an implementation guide will be developed. An online tutorial ensures the implementation.
