▶Objectives
The Erasmus project aims to promote discussions on the evolution of jewelry in the face of environmental and ethical issues. It highlights the technical and cultural specificities of each partner, while promoting the jewelry professions. By raising awareness among students and professionals of societal challenges, it encourages a more responsible approach to the sector. Finally, it helps to remove barriers to the mobility of young talents in Europe, thus strengthening innovation and collaboration within the jewelry industry.
▶Activities
We organized videoconference meetings with our partners to coordinate the future of the traveling exhibition. A face-to-face meeting took place in Saint-Amand-Montrond from April 2, 2024 to April 6, 2024, where students and teachers were able to discuss various topics related to jewelry as well as socio-economic and environmental issues. Several means of communication were used to publicize the traveling exhibition project, such as posters, social networks, etc.
▶Impact
The meeting in Saint-Amand-Montrond took place as planned, and fruitful discussions took place to coordinate future jewelry creations. Many pieces of jewelry were made around the theme “Nature is a Jewel” in participating schools, showcasing a wide variety of designs, techniques and processes. The traveling exhibition then crossed Europe to settle in participating schools, allowing students to discover the creations of other students from various countries. This experience was enriching on a cultural, creative and technical level. Finally, several exhibition posters were created by the schools, and social networks were used to promote the event.
