Objectives

Through the transnational exchange in the project JOINTLY ENGAGED IN VOLUNTARY WORK, we want to discuss current challenges in volunteer management and get to know helpful projects and concepts, for example organisation of volunteering in crisis, participation of people with disabilities in volunteering, digital engagement mediation and socio-spatial development of neighbourhood help. Together we want to develop tools and make them usable for our own organisation.

Activities

Four workshops will be held in the partner countries on thematic focal points: - Graz: Neighbourhood aids as focal points - Bolzano: Volunteer management in crises - Cologne: Participation of people with disabilities - Eupen: Digital engagement mediation Digital exchange formats complement the workshops. The results will be documented and made available to other organisations in the partner countries.

Impact

We create a common knowledge base and expand our own space of experience and action. Specifically, we are developing a concept for the carrying community, a master plan for volunteer management in crises, key points on how people with handicaps can be involved in volunteering and exchange experiences on digital mediation portals. In addition, the foundation is being laid for further European cooperation on issues of volunteering.
