The MedLit project aimed to address the growing challenge of health misinformation by enhancing the health media literacy of oncology patients and the general public across Europe. Our primary goal was to empower individuals with the skills needed to critically evaluate health information, particularly in a digital landscape often saturated with unreliable and misleading content. To achieve this, we focused on developing and disseminating high-quality educational materials and resources tailored to the needs of oncology patients and their families. These materials were designed to promote critical thinking and support informed decision-making, ensuring patients could navigate health information with confidence. The project also sought to build strong partnerships with healthcare providers, educators, and digital platforms to expand the reach and impact of health media literacy initiatives. By collaborating with these key stakeholders, we amplified the project's visibility and ensured the resources created were integrated into broader health education efforts. Lastly, MedLit emphasized the importance of adopting health media literacy as a core component of patient education and public health strategies.
