Summary

Commitment to European values starts in everyday discussions. "Stand up for Europe" updates and Europeanises a proven argumentation training ("Argumentation Training against Regular Table Slogans"...

Objectives

Commitment to European values starts in everyday discussions. "Stand up for Europe" updates and Europeanises a proven argumentation training ("Argumentation Training against Regular Table Slogans") and spreads it to other European countries. It is expanded and renewed to include current topics such as climate change denial, anti-European tendencies or hostility to democracy. The aim is to enable people to stand up effectively for European values.

Activities

The project first exchanges its own experiences and collects best practice examples as well as results and approaches from science. from the scientific community. Based on this, a concept for updating the argumentation training is created. Then the new curriculum is written, tested and translated and an online tool with artistic high-quality graphics is developed.

Impact

The project is producing an analysis paper on the practice of argumentation training to date, on its impact potential, social and pedagogical aspects, European perspectives and with best practice examples. The central result is the updated curriculum "Stand up for Europe!". In addition, there is an online learning portal based on the gamification approach. One of the results is the dissemination of the training.
