▶Objectives
For the above reasons we had from the offset identified two main objectives that the entire project was steered towards: 1) Enhancing women’s participation in media appearances 2) Educating women and providing practical and mental support for them to take on the challenge of stepping further into media presence. As the project was born in Denmark, but with an ambition to spread across Europe with time, our third goal was to... 3) ...create a way for a digital transeuropean tool to help other EU countries advance in the realm of gender equality.
▶Activities
We implemented the five groupings of activities as described in the application: 1) A media appearance educational program, carried out for female participants in both Romania and Denmark. We carried out in total 3 trainings, with a total of 60 participants. 2) The design and creation of an educational community platform for the empowerment of the women in question 3) The planning and creation of 5 concrete educational capacity building content, i.e. bite-size educational media training videos made publicly available via the above mentioned community. 4) Project management and partner organization sparring. We carried out online meetings during the course of the project and carried out a transnational workshop during the Romanian workshops where the team from Denmark participated. 5) Communication and dissemination, evaluation and follow-up. During the course of the project we communicated via our SoMe accounts and written news canals in both Denmark and Romania, and evaluated our efforts before and after each of the training sessions. On top, we evaluated media practices in Denmark and Romania and carried out interviews with selected news media representatives.
