ā–¶Objectives

ĪœĪ™RĪ• is an instrument for mental health professionals looking for a holistic, innovative approach using music and imagery, to enrich their practices when working with traumatized people, by helping them to connect with their own resources and creativity through the power of music. The participants will develop skills and comprehend the role and benefits of MIRE, will exchange music experiences and feedback from professionals of various nationalities, and will practice MIRE directly with clients.

ā–¶Activities

Staff online preparation meetings, between staff members of all 3 organisations involved in the project to outline the main points of attention and final design of the training. -Training material and tools. -Three 5-day theoretical and experiential training seminars (Greece, Latvia,Ireland) with extensive learning on MIRE technique. -Development of music playlists for MIRE. -Online consultation between trainees and trainers to ensure quality of delivery of MIRE with clients.

ā–¶Impact

We will equip the participants with knowledge and expertise on MIRE in trauma care, and new skills in applying the method to their clinical settings, especially with refugees, Ukrainian war veterans, and sufferers from physical disasters. We promote the exchange of practises within a multi-cultural environment via the universal healing properties of music, and we demonstrate a tool that can be used in physical as well as online therapy, accompanied by specially designed tools and e-playlists.
