Objectives

The project aimed to: Promote integration and cultural diversity by facilitating interactions between different cultures to reduce prejudices and establish an atmosphere of mutual respect. Equip adult educators with an innovative tool (the WoW Box) so they can better support learners from diverse backgrounds. Develop intercultural skills through interactive activities, workshops, and events (including the final event in Madrid) that enabled people from various backgrounds to meet and exchange ideas. Create a strong support network through transnational partnerships, encouraging the sharing of resources and best practices to build more inclusive European societies.

Activities

Development: Design of a multisensory educational tool including an illustrated educational booklet and four activity families. Research on the surprise effect guided the design to stimulate curiosity and promote interaction. Project Management and Organization: Establishment of partnership agreements, monitoring documents (timesheets, calendar, budget), and a collaborative workspace (Drive, discussion groups). Learning Activities: Organization of focus groups to explore the concept of surprise, followed by a meeting in Marsala to lay common foundations and define activities. Each partner then developed proposals, with an emphasis on design, ergonomics, and sustainability. Testing and Piloting Phase: A test workshop in Paris identified areas for improvement, followed by piloting of the final version. Dissemination: Organization of presentation events in the three partner countries, creation of a multilingual showcase website, distribution of a flyer, and communication campaign on various networks. An evaluation system was established (questionnaires, TPM meetings, etc.) and a critical friend followed and advised the project.

Impact

* Design, testing, and finalization of the WoW Box, which integrates an educational booklet and four activity families in the form of card games: Sensational: Develop a sense of belonging, community, and intercultural understanding through engaging sensory experiences. Encourages inclusion and diversity creatively. Imagine the dream: Creation of a character based on randomly selected characteristics. Encourages critical thinking by avoiding stereotypes. A new friend: To make everyone feel included and valued. By promoting collaboration and sharing, it strengthens bonds, promotes mutual respect, and celebrates diversity through the collective creation of a new friend. Explore the world: Raising awareness of diversity and accessibility through observation, critical reflection, and problem-solving. They develop empathy, understanding, and commitment to a more inclusive and accessible society. * Creation of a showcase website and communication materials (flyer, downloadable PDFs) in four languages. * Organization of pilot workshops. * 3 dissemination events. * Strengthened transnational partnership.
