Objectives

The project aims to promote Game Media Literacy among parents and guardians, introducing them to the digital realm of gaming culture and eSports. The goal is to contribute to the education of "new digital subjects," targeting individuals who have little familiarity with contemporary online culture, are misinformed, and skeptical. The project thus contributes to addressing a specific, also intergenerational "digital divide" by advocating for the balanced use of video games in family environments.

Activities

The project implements an educational programme for parents on the subject of Game Media, highlighting the educational potential of video game consumption within families. Digital parental mediation strategies will be implemented, which are also useful for recognizing possible forms of digital addiction. The project also establishes an online educational resource for stakeholders in parental guidance to centralize attention and resources on Game Media and family education at a European level.
