With Ma.Mu., a set of clear and measurable objectives was pursued. First, it was considered a priority to improve teachers’ knowledge of dyscalculia and the use of music as an educational tool. An innovative methodology for teaching mathematics, based on musical principles, was developed, tested and designed to be transferable to other contexts. The aim was to reduce the risk of exclusion and early school leaving for pupils with learning disorders, while increasing their well-being and self-esteem. The creation of replicable tools at European level, the valorisation of good practices and the strengthening of transnational cooperation were also promoted, generating concrete impacts on students, families and school communities.
