Objectives

Through the implementation of the AquaSymphony project, our main goal was to strengthen the role of schools as drivers of change in the fight against climate change, with a specific focus on the sustainable use of water resources. In particular, we aimed to achieve three interconnected objectives. 1. we intended to increase teachers’ awareness on these issues by providing them with concrete, scientifically sound, and pedagogically effective tools. Thanks to training activities, teachers would acquire up-to-date competencies, both in terms of content and active, digital teaching methodologies. 2. we wanted trained teachers to become multipliers of awareness within their schools and communities. By adopting the educational handbook developed during the project — a digital e-handbook — each teacher could transfer what they had learned to their students, thus helping to shape more informed, responsible, and environmentally conscious citizens. 3. we aimed to build a transnational educational network that fosters the exchange of good practices, the comparison of different school systems, and intercultural enrichment. This European dimension of the project is crucial, given that the issue of climate crisis is global and interconnected.
