▶Objectives
The project aimed to improve digital competencies of teaching staff involved in vocational rehabilitation, enhance communication with learners with disabilities through clear guidelines, and contribute to innovation and quality assurance in vocational education and training (VET). The primary target group was educators and vocational training institutions, while secondary beneficiaries included professionals from other fields. A transnational partnership enabled knowledge exchange and strengthened capacity to implement inclusive and modern educational approaches.
▶Activities
Three core activities were carried out: (1) a transnational training event in the Netherlands on digital tools in vocational rehabilitation - VocTech Rehab 2.0: digital approach to vocational rehabilitation; (2) development of an interactive e-book series on inclusive communication and best practices in vocational rehabilitation, produced by each partner; and (3) national workshops in each partner country to disseminate results to a broader audience. The project activities started with the project Kick-off meeting, where partners agreed on their responsibilities and activities to carry out together with timeline development. Additional results included guidelines for educators on communication with people with disabilities and a project logo designed by students from SIVA's vocational program 'Computer technician'. All activities were implemented according to the original plan.
▶Impact
The main results include a three-part interactive e-book series on vocational rehabilitation best practices, freely accessible online, and printed guidelines for educators on communication with people with disabilities. Additionally, the project produced a unique logo created by VET students, strengthening civic engagement and inclusion. Partners also organised national dissemination events. The project website hosts all materials openly: www.siva.gov.lv/lv/e-gramatu-serija. The partners plan to continue using the developed materials in their institutional training activities.
