We wanted to enhance the skill set and knowledge base in the realms of social entrepreneurship and startup creation of VET students and youth. We sought to prepare them for the challenges and opportunities associated with building sustainable businesses, with triple bottom line objectives. Another key focus was on increasing the capacity of young people to transform their innovative ideas into viable and sustainable enterprises, implementing their newly gained skills when entering the job market. Finally, we wanted to foster a greater understanding and cooperation between youth and other socio-economic stakeholders from Malta and North Macedonia, through knowledge-sharing and collaboration among participants from both regions.

We applied because the project aligned with the broader Program's priorities, particularly in terms of enhancing the employability and career prospects of young individuals. It was an opportunity to empower them to contribute to economic growth and enhance their employability prospects. The project also aligned with the Program's commitment to promoting active citizenship, youth initiative, and entrepreneurship, including social entrepreneurship. The primary goal of this project was to empower young VET students from both Malta and North Macedonia, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to identify and pursue entrepreneurial opportunities, thus making a positive impact on society. The project provided essential entrepreneurial skills to young people in both regions, and encouraged innovative ideas and concepts development, particularly for high impact green or social businesses. We also provided them with opportunities to acquire new skills and explore innovative avenues for social change. In addition to skill-building, the project encouraged collaboration among young people and other entrepreneurs working toward a shared goal of societal betterment.
