The project had a dual objective, focusing on the education of seniors and staff development: - For Participants (Seniors) Our goal was to create tools that would facilitate effective English language learning among people in late adulthood who wish to travel abroad and explore European cultures. - For Staff We aimed to increase the competences of adult education staff in conducting effective language education through the exchange of experience with international partners. - Digital Transformation Additionally, we sought to increase the use of digital tools (including AI) for learning among people aged 60+, thereby breaking down technological barriers and making the educational offer more appealing.
▶Activities
The project involved three international partner meetings, one in each country. These meetings were dedicated to intensive work on the results and the exchange of knowledge and experience regarding: the use of storytelling in language education, the implementation of digital tools, and building an engaged community of learners. The meeting in Lublin concluded with a dissemination conference. The main output of the project is a comprehensive, digital English language curriculum for people aged 60+, which includes 27 video lessons, a teaching program, dialogues, and lesson scenarios. The direct involvement of learners was crucial: seniors participated as actors in the video lessons, which made the materials more authentic and practical. Additionally, local English language workshops were held in each partner organisation to validate and pilot the developed materials.
