By implementing the TechVET project, the partners aimed not only to create two high-quality results but, above all, to genuinely support the VET sector in better preparing learners for the demands of the modern labour market. The goal was to develop practical tools that facilitate the cultural, generational and technological preparation of mobility participants, helping them feel safer, more independent and more effective during their international placements. The project also aimed to strengthen the digital competences of teachers and educators, promote inclusion, improve the accessibility of educational materials and reinforce international cooperation between institutions in Poland, Greece and Portugal. The partners sought to develop solutions based on empirical evidence—IDI interviews, study visits and analysis of existing practices—to ensure that the results respond to real needs within the VET environment rather than only theoretical assumptions. At the same time, the project aimed to support the organisational development of partner institutions by enabling them to gain experience in creating results with high practical value, long-term usability and open-access availability.

TechVET project was created in response to the needs of the VET sector in Poland, Greece and Portugal.The partners applied for its implementation because they identified a lack of modern, practical materials that would prepare students for international mobility, especially in the areas of intercultural competence and working in multigenerational environments.At the same time,VET institutions reported the need for better use of new technologies in education and the absence of clear guidance on how digital tools can support vocational preparation processes.The project also responded to needs related to inclusion. The partners highlighted the lack of materials addressing the needs of learners with sensory disability in the context of participating in international mobilities. Another important need was strengthening the competencies of partner organisations,especially those with limited experience in Erasmus+ KA2, and building a sustainable network of international cooperation.TechVET was designed as a comprehensive response to these challenges:it aimed to deliver practical tools,improve the quality of mobility preparation,support the development of digital and intercultural competences,strengthen the capacity of VET institutions.
