▶Objectives
The main objective of the project was to cooperate with a foreign school for vocational competence training and, through the exchange of experience and the implementation of the so-called 5 steps, to enable our students and graduates to achieve professional success in the labour market. The specific objectives of the project were: 1) development of the students' interpersonal skills: communicativeness, including in English, creativity, resistance to stress, teamwork skills, independence, 2) increase of the students' professional competences: self-presentation, knowledge of vocational English, development of digital skills, knowledge of labour law, duties and rights of young workers, 3) increase of students' motivation to learn a profession and plan their careers, 4) increase of students' awareness of environmental problems and counteracting climate change, 5) increase of employers' involvement in the professional preparation of young people and their introduction to work, 6) development of the 'First Job' implementation programme, 7) establishing contact with a foreign partner and learning from each other, 8) meeting the needs of groups with fewer opportunities and bridging the gap in access to the labour market.
▶Activities
All the activities planned in the so-called 5 steps have been implemented:1:START-conference inaugurating the project, study visits to employers,cultural programme:trip to the World War II Museum in the European Solidarity Centre,Polish-Italian action of cleaning the world, additionally within the framework of Erasmus Days: competition for a digital poster encouraging the learning of foreign languages with the use of Internet tools and applications, exhibition of projects implemented at school within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme,meetings with primary and secondary school students on the subject: Erasmus - why is it worth it?2:TRAINING:digital competences workshops carried out online for students and teachers on the use of online resources, licensing rules, CV preparation, AI tools in vocational education, the concept of the electronic apprenticeship journal , knowledge sharing between students and teachers3:ADAPTATION:study visits to Italian employers, cultural programme in and around Bari, communication workshops, environmental tasks, plus an environmental game,4:Reaction:remote meetings of teacher teams and development of the adaptation programme First Job;5TESTING - pilot of the First Job programme
▶Impact
The results of the project are: agreement with the Italian partner school, recording and photo coverage of the project launch conference and all activities, TV interview and articles promoting the project and Erasmus+ programmes, boards promoting partnerships, project websites, development of interpersonal, digital and professional skills and communication in English of the participants, increasing students' motivation for self-development and career planning, getting to know employers' expectations regarding employees' qualifications, learning about Polish and Italian history, culture and national heritage, learning the principles of organisation of vocational education in Poland and Italy, increasing participants' sensitivity to environmental protection problems, films and posters promoting environmental behaviour, bridging cultural differences, abolishing barriers to the labour market, Adaptation Programme First Job and its recommendations, the concept of electronic practice diary, development of cooperation with employers and schools at home and abroad, increase in the quality of vocational education, increase of the prestige of schools, certificates and certificates of participation in mobilities, workshops.
