βΆObjectives
The purpose of the project was to promote youth work in the Nordic countries by empowering girls and non-binary young people, in line with the priority of increasing the quality and recognition of youth work. To achieve this, the project aimed to: Develop activities for girls and non-binary youth that strengthen their control over their lives. Share good practices and strategies for engaging these young people across the Nordic region. Strengthen the capacity of youth workers in this field. Promote cross-sectoral collaboration to increase access and participation.
βΆActivities
The project includes cross-border activities in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark, where we focus on knowledge exchange and sharing experiences in inclusive youth work with girls and non-binary young people for youth workers. In addition, we will organize a dissemination conference for both youth workers and young people. In parallel, we are conducting a needs analysis, developing a joint program for working with girls and non-binary youth, and implementing this program for the target groups in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark.
βΆImpact
The partnership between Fryshuset, Fairhuset, and Forandringshuset will offer a safe and empowering environment for girls and non-binary young people in the Nordic region, where they can learn and develop. Through the collaboration, the implementation of a joint program that enhances the quality of the methodological material used to work with the target group's empowerment and social inclusion is made possible. The new knowledge and ideas will strengthen and inspire youth workers from the participating organizations in their daily work.
