▶Objectives
The project "How will I travel in 2035?" addresses the need to promote sustainable tourism as a key factor for the EU to reach its strategic goals and become the first climate neutral continent by 2050. Students will be encouraged to analyze current travel practices and develop future scenarios. They will actively engage with surrounding regions and tourism stakeholders in challenge-based approaches and will be empowered to become changemakers for a prospective European future in tourism.
▶Activities
TRAVEL2035 starts with two workshops to evaluate the current state of travel options with surrounding stakeholders, followed by developing scenarios envisioning tourism by 2035. Students contrast these two, evaluating feasibility and transferring knowledge into practice by planning a sustainable trip to the partner country. Two mobilities encourage students to compare insights, fostering cultural exchange and linguistic competences. An award ceremony & follow-up activities round off the project.

The project will result in 8 workshop days (4 in AT, 4 in ES), 10 mobility days (5 in AT, 5 in ES), 1 workbook, 3 on-demand webinars, 3 online exchanges, 2 train-the-trainer activities, 12 student projects, stakeholder interviews, 2 planning projects for eco-friendly travel to the partner school, at least 10 online exchanges between partner organizations, establishment of a social media account, sub-pages on school websites and a virtual award ceremony among the participants.
