โ–ถObjectives

The project connects the third and fourth generation of Italians abroad to contemporary Italy through an online language toolkit with language learning modules based on cultural heritage. It illustrates the importance of cultural heritage in formal and non-formal language teaching and enhances teachers' cultural competence by familiarizing them with diverse cultural elements embedded in language and providing them with strategies to integrate cultural heritage into language teaching.

โ–ถActivities

The partners will develop a methodological blueprint on the use of cultural heritage in digital language learning. The blueprint will be the framework for the online language toolkit to be used by third and fourth generation Italians. The results of the research, the design and adjustment of the language toolkit and the feedback of the users will be integrated in a seminar for language teacher on effectively using cultural heritage in online courses.

โ–ถImpact

We expect our project to result in the development of an innovative language toolkit integrating cultural heritage into language learning modules. Third and fourth generation Italians will improve their knowledge of the language and culture and strengthen ties to contemporary Italy. As for teachers attending the seminar we anticipate an enhancement in their cultural competence and teaching practices.
