▶Objectives
In this project, we want to achieve those objectives: - Empower deaf adults aged 18-40 in Romania with leadership skills applicable in various contexts. - Provide tools for leadership within deaf communities in Europe. - Develop a tailored training program on deaf leadership for implementation in Belgium, Portugal, Bulgaria, and Romania. - Raise awareness about empowering deaf individuals for societal inclusion. - Strengthen partner organizations' capacity in Erasmus+ projects.
▶Activities
We will organise: - a preparatory meeting during 3 days in Belgium to prepare project activities; - a 3-day leadership training, and 1-teambuilding/travel day, in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, aiming to empower 20 deaf participants on leadership styles, history, identity, teamwork, and leadership in various contexts and levels of society; - and a one-day seminar in Portugal to disseminate project results and inspire at least 20 deaf participants from Portugal on leadership in the deaf community.
▶Impact
We expect to achieve these results in the project: - Empower 20 deaf adults aged 18-40 in Romania as active leaders. - Sensitize European deaf adults on deaf history and identity and how to become leaders in their communities. - Ensure that the four partner organizations (Empoway, ANSR Tineret, APS, and Listen Up Foundation) are ready to provide leadership training in their countries. - Enhanced skills for partner organizations in conducting Erasmus+ projects.
