Objectives

The project aims to share good practices in crisis intervention, increase professional skills and competences of the crisis interventionist and contribute to greater stability of the work teams of the crisis helplines, namely by supporting their emotional balance, preventing burnouts and reducing the rate of outflow of the workers. As these risks are significantly associated with dealing with frequent callers, the methodology and best practices focuses on the frequent callers issue.

Activities

The key activities are the mutual internships of the Czech and Danish work teams and sharing methodologies and good practices, resulting in a new innovative methodology of work with frequent callers, in an improvement of the skills and working environment of the crisis interventionist and in ensuring a stability of the work teams of the crisis helplines. The results will be shared with other crisis intervention workplaces. Educational campaign on crisis help will finally target the wide public.

Impact

By sharing best practices and experience, we raise skills and competences of the crisis workers, prevent their burnout, improve workers well-being and ensure the stability of the highly professional team. Through workshops, focus groups, supervision meetings and new methodology we transfer the foreign experience nationwide, enriching the local practices with global insights. This all leads to more effective crisis services in Czechia and Denmark and better help to people in crises.
