▶Objectives
The project is a partnership of three art schools and one company partner. It addresses the green priority: sustainability in art and design and company policies. The main objectives are to adapt our curricula to labor market needs and create a more complex approach to training related to eco-art and design work using 3D printing and virtual reality. We want to familiarize participants with broader concepts of sustainability and enable them to identify their own potential for sustainability.
▶Activities
6 teachers and 21 secondary school students of art and design from 3 countries take part in activities on eTwinning and at project meetings in Czechia, Poland and Slovakia. The activities are linked to three main areas: Eco-art & Sustainable thinking, 3D printing & Sustainable design and Virtual reality & Design for sustainability. Each topic involves eTwinning activities, lectures, international hands-on workshops, field trips and teacher workshops. Curricula revision is the final activity.
▶Impact
The participants will improve their skills in eco-art and sustainable design using 3D printing and VR and create personal plans of sustainability. A booklet with factsheets, CLIL worksheets and video tutorials will be created and the topic of sustainable art and design will be gradually introduced on the project website, which will become a “course of sustainability”. Curricula revisions and the methodology of Week of Sustainability will ensure the project’s longer-term benefits.
