Objectives

The project aims to create and evaluate a standardized simulation course for emergencies in obstetrics and gynecology to improve the knowledge, skills and team cooperation of the medical staff and thereby increase the patients’ safety. The course is intended to be used for training the multidisciplinary team which takes part in the care of the cooperation and for training a specific medical profession (obstetrics and gynecology doctors in training, midwives and nurses, anesthesiologists).

Impact

The ROUTINE partners will create a full simulation course for emergencies in obstetrics and gynecology aimed at improving technical and non-technical skills, knowledge and communication training of the multidisciplinary medical teams that attend the patients at the delivery units, postpartum and gynecology wards. To achieve this goal, we will develop a program for the two days long course, simulation scenarios and e-learning. All of the important documents will be freely available on the project
