The GREENWOOD project developed practical training resources to help the wood industry shift toward sustainable production. We focused on teaching professionals and trainees how to calculate CO₂ footprints for wood products and adopt resource-efficient practices. Our easy-to-use digital materials and a CO₂ accounting guide support companies in implementing climate strategies. The project also promotes sustainability awareness and collaboration among businesses, educators, and associations, while strengthening European cooperation and standards in vocational wood processing education—all to support both industry competitiveness and EU climate goals.
