▶Summary
Educational ideas and methods vary within families and early education institutions in different countries, also depending on the socialization and cultural background of the families; at the same time, mobility is increasing. This is accompanied by a change in the role of the educator, which requires a (re)orientation in attitude. Competencies must be expanded in order to sensitize educators to these changes and make them fit for the future.

▶Activities
A multi-perspective and mutually complementary project team makes it possible to learn from the difference through observations and exchanges with experts in the local partner institutions. This is indispensable for intercultural learning: Cultural paradigms are looked at together and placed in the context of one's own experience. Joint learning, virtual exchange and practical testing in the participants' own institutions alternate.
▶Impact
The project aims to: - enable educators to learn about differences and raise awareness of interculturality - create a picture book that provides a child's perspective on cultural similarities and differences using the example of Finland-Germany - collect creative ideas on the topic of interculturality in early childhood education that support the work with the picture book "picture me", - support children in an increasingly intercultural society
