▶Objectives
We wanted to create an Officer Development Program (ODP) that can educate fire officers on the UN sustainability goals, with a strong focus on the effects of climate change and equality, inequalities and diversity. We wanted to educate 18-20 fire officers, and get them ready to implement changes in their own organizations across Europe.
▶Activities
We have successfully implemented the activities we had planned. Them being: Preparing the ODP, developing the ODP, hosting the ODP and finally evaluating the ODP.
▶Impact
The concrete outputs and result of the project is the week long Officer Development Program in Lund in Sweden. Furthermore we have a video recording of the participants gains and thoughts about how they can implement the things they were taught, not only in their own fire services, but also across Europe, where the FEU will help as a driver on these projects. The video is available online at the FEU's website, where it will inspire other fire officers on how they can implement these changes to futureproof their own fire services and fire stations.
