β–ΆObjectives

LaserFusion aims to trigger the last year Bachelor, Master and PhD students, to enhance their studies and skills for employability in the scientific area of Laser Inertial Fusion Energy (IFE). The educational & training methods developed from all the international parters will focus on three scientific domains: i) Physics and technology of IFE including diagnostics, ii) Laser and laser-plasma sources technology developments iii) Computational simulations of IFE including materials.

β–ΆActivities

Each year one/two five-day educational visits and one ten-day intensive programme will be implemented in the partner organisations for each scientific domain The great expertise of the scientific personnel and the state-of-the-art research infrastructures of the partners will provide the attendants intensive theoretical education and hands-on training in experiments and simulations. At the end a multiplier event will inform the public for the results.

β–ΆImpact

More than 60 students and teachers will participate.The educational material will be developed to a complete functional module (e-books), that will be included in the relevant curricula of the participating organisations. The advanced digital educational material will be uploaded to e-platforms of the partners and the project's official site, providing access to universities and companies related to laser IFE. The learning outcomes will stimulate innovative learning and teaching practices.
