โ–ถObjectives

InclusiVRity aims to build the capacity of teaching professionals and carers on using digitally accessible tools like VR, for developing skills, such as reading, communication, teamwork, memory stimulation, problem-solving, and focusing for neurodiverse students (12-18y/o).

โ–ถActivities

WP1 establishes efficient monitoring and quality mechanisms. WP2 identifies ways in which VR technology can be used for inclusive digital education and produces a Guidebook for teaching professionals. WP3 implements a VR platform for the development of immersive social stories from school, social and life situations for neurodiverse students. WP4 engages students in opportunities to use the VR platform and bridges the gap in academia on VR for neurodiversity and inclusive digital education.

โ–ถImpact

The project will result in a Guidebook for teaching professionals and carers to understand the use of VR technologies for the pedagogy of neurodiverse students and a VR platform with embedded co-created social stories depicting potential real-life scenarios that neurodiverse students can familiarize with. Following the engagement and feedback of teachers and students, InclusiVRity will culminate in an Implementation Manual and a Scientific Report on VR to address neurodiversity in education.
