By implementing the project, the project aims to support the transition of the European aquaculture sector to a more circular and sustainable model, while fostering profitability for businesses and positive impact on society and the environment. And secondly, the project seeks to enhance professional development of aquaculture staff by developing a training program with a focus on adoption of circular practices in aquaculture waste management, integrated with advanced digital learning tools.

The main activities we are going to carry out are: Research and analysis activities; Co-creation process with a focus on integration of circular and eco-design principles in aquaculture waste management Development of a roadmap for transitioning European aquaculture towards a more circular and sustainable model; Development of training modules; Development of VR and AR technology with subsequent pilot tests; Maximising the impact of the project results through dissemination activities.
