Objectives

ConnecTEEN project aims to enhance the mental health and well-being of students in VET settings by providing effective tools, resources, and interventions. We seek to create a supportive and inclusive environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. By promoting a holistic approach to student well-being, we expect to contribute to improving retention rates, academic performance, and overall quality of life for students in VET settings.

Activities

We will implement a comprehensive well-being measurement tool designed to assess and monitor the mental health status of students in VET settings. We will develop a tailor made community-based crisis intervention program which will be validated by VET communities in partner countries. We will educate stakeholders such as school authorities, teachers, and students on effective strategies for identifying and addressing mental health crises among VET students.

Impact

Through the implementation of the well-being measurement tool (WP2), we anticipate to enable early identification of mental health issues and facilitate targeted interventions to support student well-being. Additionally, with the crisis intervention program (WP3), we expect to equip stakeholders with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively respond to mental health crises, reducing the impact of such incidents on students' academic and personal lives.
