▶Objectives
Our "B(e) My Friend" project is based on the following observation: Our pupils are no longer connected with nature, amongst others due to their excessive and poorly monitored use of screens. They are demotivated to learn and show a lack concentration. We want to work together with European partners to develop innovative teaching tools (Stop Motion films, teaching kits) to promote a STEAM approach to teaching within the broader context of biodiversity and beekeeping.
▶Activities
By working together in the fields of beekeeping and biodiversity, our pupils will be sharing environmental resources and knowledge. This will lead to the development of innovative and motivating tools for acquiring ‘green gestures’ that can be used in all subject areas. Transnational meetings will enable project leaders to learn from each other and feed the eTwinning platform. Beekeeping will also be the backdrop of several theme days.
▶Impact
Being directly involved in the project, our pupils will be more eager to learn. They will take ownership of their own learning and commit to the well-being of all as green European citizens. They will develop a better command of modern languages and digital technology. The project will allow us to fight school dropouts. Teachers will develop a cross-disciplinary approach to their teaching practices and get out of the classroom more often. Parents will be more involved in eco-responsible actions
